Tarbela expansion project IV worth Rs 92 billion will produce 1410 Megawatt of electricity
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Expansion of Tarbela Dam, as a result of increase in water level, has come to a halt, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, engineers stopped working on Tarbela Dam expansion project IV which has delayed construction work. Newly built Kofar Dam drowned in water due to excessive storage of water after which construction work for tunnel was stopped by the Chinese engineers.
Tarbela expansion project IV, worth Rs 92 billion, will produce 1410 Megawatt of electricity when completed. The project was to be completed in November 2016.
