ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Meteorological department has forecast gusts and severe rains in coming 24 hours in Islamabad, Peshawar, Punjab’s capital and upper parts of the country, reported Friday.
Pakistan Meteorological Department reported that after monsoon showers in Karachi and Balochistan, the spell would hit Punjab and northern areas from Saturday till Monday.
The authorities have warned of severe rains in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Kashmir among other cities.
On the other hand, Karachi will have a partially cloudy day today while hot weather will persist in plains of Sindh.
Mercury will be high is Larkana, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Kashmore and Benazirabad.
Monsoon added to the issues of Sindh metropolitan, Karachi as locals had to endure long power outages due to technical snags and move through roads inundated of stagnated rainwater.
Different drains were flooded and some nearly flooded prompting the Chief Minister, Qaim Ali Shah to chair a meeting that ordered immediate release of Rs 200 million to clear drains of the city.
