Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has thanked MQM for supporting the government through thick and thin. He said that his recent visit to the UK had no political motives. He also said that in accordance with the agreements no Pakistani would be deported from the UK who enjoys a legal status in the UK. Speaking at a press conference in the Pakistani High Commission in London, Rehman Malik said that Pakistan and the UK have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) according to which the UK would only act against those Pakistanis who are staying there illegally. He therefore adviseD the Pakistani community in the UK not to get tense in this regard. He also said that the government of Pakistan is acting against the human traffickers and smugglers. He also briefed the media men that he talked in detail to the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain on every issue whereas MQM Chief Altaf Hussain expressed his desire to strengthen the coalition.
