Water shortage worsens in Karachi as Hub dam dries up
An optional system has been adopted to ensure equal distribution of water, says KWSB MD.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The water scarcity has once again hit Karachi city as dozens of locals are not getting water in different districts, reported on Tuesday.
According to Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), the metropolis is facing water dearth due to lack of water level in Hub dam.
The residents living in New Karachi and Surjani Town are completely deprived of water whereas some areas are also facing power outage due to which, the alternative ways cannot be utilized.
KWSB Managing Director Faheem Akhtar Zaidi said that an optional system has been adopted to ensure equal distribution of water in different localities.
