LAHORE (Dunya News) – Ramazan Bazaar setup in Lahore failed to provide any relief to the people as the prices were observed to be unreasonable alongwith low quality food items.
A single item was found to have three separate prices.
At some place tomatoes were being sold at Rs20/kg whereas on other side some were selling it for Rs25/kg.
Lemons were at first not available in the market however; when their sale started, the prices went upto Rs150-156.
Onions and chilies also underwent a price hike.
Moreover, fruits were also being sold at high prices and had a poor quality.
Likewise, in Islamabad’ Ramazan Bazaar the same situation was witnessed.
The shopkeepers while citing themselves as innocent put the blame on government for the price hike and false claims of price reduction in Ramzan.
