Problems-ridden families belonging to different cities held a protest demonstration in front of the Chief Minister House at Lahore against indifference on part of the latter to address their grievances, while police managed to foil a bid of a family of self-immolation, Dunya News reported on Friday. Ironically, while the CM was busy chairing a meeting to review law and order situation in the province at CM house, an affected family, resident of Och Sharif, was trying to self-immolate themselves for not being allowed to meet the CM. The police, however, managed to stop their bid to burn themselves. Rajab told the reporters that his brothers have occupied his land and he be allowed to meet the CM for redressal of his problems. While another family said that their daughter has been assaulted by some influential of Hanjarwal and the police are assisting the culprits. Another woman among the protesters said that she belonged to Muzaffargarh and her ex-husband occupied her land.
