Quetta: firing on Masjid road leaves 4 dead

Firing by unidentified gunmen on Masjid road has left at least 4 people dead, Dunya News reported on Thursday. According to the preliminary reports and initial police investigations, those killed were traders and owners of Al-Abbas store on Masjid road. According to police, the traders were going back to their homes after closing the store, meanwhile some unidentified gunmen shot Haji Ali Akbar, his son Abdul Samad, Jafar Abbas and Abid dead. According to eye-witnesses the gunmen first tried to kidnap the traders and upon failure they opened fire on them, leaving all four of them dead. Edhi sources have said that three traders died on the spot whereas the fourth one died while he was being moved to the CMH Quetta. Police officers, including DIG Operation, reached Masjid road soon after the incident and collected evidences.
