Punjab Police deducts officers' salaries without reason

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Police Department Wednesday deducted the salaries of more than 10,000 of its officers ranging from Constable to Inspectors without any apparent reason.
According to police sources, a deduction ranging from Rs. 200 to 12000 has been made.
No written reasoning has been provided for the action.
Meanwhile the accounts department of Punjab police stated that the deductions were made on the orders of high officials.
