Authorities postpone demolishing Koh-e-Noor Flats, to re-conduct survey

LAHORE (Dunya News) – The residents of Koh-e-Noor Flats protested on Monday against authorities’ decision to demolish the flats after which a meeting was held on Tuesday headed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz, reported Dunya News.

The meeting was attended by MNA Mian Abdul Mannan, MPA Faqir Hussain Dogar, DCO Faisalabad Salman Ghani, Secretary Labour, Chairman Union Council 57 Rana Israr and representatives of victimised residents.

The decision to demolish unfit 512 flats was taken back and new orders to re-conduct the survey were directed to the authorities.

A committee organised by Communication and Works will start its work from Wednesday (May 4). After final report by the engineers, decision will be taken regarding the residents and the flats.
