Summary
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has suspended memberships of 148 members of assemblies upon their failure to submit their assets details. Election Commission has said that the memberships would remain suspended till the members submit the required details.Of those suspended include 34 members of the National Assembly, 4 senators, 69 members of Punjab Assembly, 16 members of the Sindh Assembly, 10 members from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and 12 members from the Baluchistan Assembly. Suspended members include Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, Amir Maqam, Kashmala Tariq, Nasir Bhutta, Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali, Khurshid Shah, Nargis Faiz Malik, Atta-Ur-Rehman, Zulfiqar Ali Bhindar and Fauzia Behram. The suspended members would not be able to participate in assembly sessions till they fulfill the requirement of submitting details of all their assets.
