Summary Ishaq Dar also backed Rabbani's decision not to lead the commission
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani on Sunday refused to lead the parliamentary commission that probes into the Panama Leaks, reported Dunya News.
Rabbani has stated that since he is the custodian of Senate, it seems inappropriate for him to lead the commission. He also said that he does not possess the expertise to deal with white-collar crimes.
Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar seconded Rabbani’s decision of not leading the commission. He said that it is inappropriate for Rabbani to lead the commission as he serves as interim president while the president is not in the country.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi while exclusively conversing with Dunya News said that the majority believes that the investigation should be carried out under a forensic audit firm.
