Panama Leaks: Imran Khan demands commission led by Shoaib Suddle
Chaudhary Nisar suggested PTI to name any FIA officer to lead the commission regarding the probe
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan demanded the formation of a commission led by Shoaib Suddle to probe into the Panama Leaks, reported Dunya News.
Khan welcomed Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan’s suggestion to PTI to nominate any officer of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to probe into the Leaks.
Imran Khan added that Suddle is an expert in regards to investigation related to white-collar crimes and that he should be given complete authority over the investigation in order to ensure transparency.
Suddle has served as the Inspector General (IG) police, Director General (DG) Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Federal Tax Ombudsman in the past.
Khan stated that PTI’s Foundation Day will be held with utmost glory in the Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad, on April 24.
Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar suggested that the government must not be blamed in regards to the Panama Leaks and that a commission led by any FIA officer named by the PTI will be formed to conduct investigations regarding the Leaks.
Nisar also said that the delay in the formation of the commission was because of the government trying to contact two former judges to head the commission. He said that both personalities declined the offer because of the rude behaviour adopted by certain parties during the ongoing developments.
