PML-N leaders accuse Imran Khan of spending charity money in property business

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders, including Daniyal Aziz, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary, Pervaiz Rasheed and Mohammad Zubair, held a press conference in order to respond to the allegations placed on Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his family in the Panama Leaks, reported Dunya News.

The government representatives presented the details regarding Imran Khan s off-shore companies before the media.

Minister of Information Pervaiz Rasheed stated that Imran Khan has not provided details regarding the irregularities in Shaukat Khanum Hospital, further adding that Khan knows that whatever he states is a lie and whatever the government presents is reality and he runs away without facing the truth.

He further said that internal accountability exists is there in PML-N, Khan never bothered investigation regarding the irregularities in the procurement of plants from Abbottabad.

While addressing the media, Daniyal Aziz bashed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. Aziz stated that Imran Khan admits that he has sent money abroad, adding that investigations done against Shaukat Khanum Hospital have unearthed striking revelations.

Aziz remarked that charity money was invested in business by Imran Khan as the PTI chief invested Shaukat Khaum s charity-money in off-shore companies. He stated that the details regarding the spendings in the HBG Holdings are available on the Bloomberg website. He also said that the money belonging to the cancer hospital was sent to Virgin Islands companies for investment purposes.

He further added that mere allegations have been placed on PML-N, but no evidences are there to be found and revealed that the 28 million dollar investment that the institution claims to be doing turns out to be equivalent to $10 million only in their audit reports.

He also criticised Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rahman Malik by stating that Malik said that he will take the case into the court as he has evidence, "then why didn t he went to the courts earlier if he had the evidence earlier?", Daniyal questioned.

Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed stated that there are no allegations placed on PM Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Leaks, neither is there anything written in the very Leaks related to the PM.

Rasheed stated that the media is placing baseless allegations on the ruling party and that if any one has any proofs then they should present it before the Judicial Commission.

Referring to Imran Khan, Rasheed asked that "when will Khan compensate the loss of Shaukat Khanum by selling his house?", adding that "why were there Indian nationals in his (Imran Khan s) company?"
