Summary Unregistered police mobiles are operating freely in the city and are accountable to no one: MQM MPA

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The matter regarding police mobiles operating in the city without number plates was the center of discussion during the session of Sindh Assembly held on Wednesday while Excise Minister Giyan Chand said that Excise Department is working on regular basis to curtail such vehicles, reported Dunya News.

Members of Sindh Assembly discussed the issue of unregistered police mobiles. During the questions break, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ayesha Khatoon said that police mobiles are roaming and operating freely in the city and are accountable to no one.

Excise Minister Giyan Chand Essarani said that vigilance teams of Excise Department are working actively on the roads. He also said that strict action is being taken against un-registered vehicles.

In the beginning of the session, newly elected member from Naushahro Zia Lanjar and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s Ismail Raho from Badin took oath as provincial members.

The session was postponed till Friday morning at 10 am.
