Summary FWO workers have restored the route from 23 different locations

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Frontier Works Organisation on Tuesday stated that northern areas in Pakistan have experienced worst landslides and rainstorms since 1979 while rescue operations have been conducted to restore roads and rescue the residents, reported Dunya News.

FWO spokesperson said that Gilgit-Baltistan and northern areas have experienced the worst rainstorm since 1979 which has caused heavy landslides blocking Karakoram Highway and Gilgit-Skardu Road from 120 different points.

However, FWO workers have restored the route from 23 different locations. The spokesperson also said that a part of road has been swept away completely near Dasu. FWO workers have set up temporary bridges for movement in the affected areas.
