Summary Press conference is being held a day after the Interior Minister met with Iranian Ambassador.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will hold an important press conference at 5:00pm today (Saturday) in Islamabad, Dunya News reported.
During the press conference, the Interior Minister will brief media on Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing’s (RAW) activities in Iran.
Earlier on Friday, Chaudhry Nisar held a meeting a with Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Honardoost at Punjab House.
Expressing concerns over the activities of Indian agents on Iranian soil, Nisar demanded that Iran should arrest Indian intelligence RAW’s agent Rakesh alias Rizwan.
He further added that to improve confidence building pertaining to the borders between the two countries, the Iranian government should seriously consider Pakistan’s reference in regards to the matter.
Nisar addressed the current situation, stating that the presence of Indian intelligence agents on Iranian soil was a highly suspicious matter.
Quoting the Iranian government’s stance, Iranian Ambassador stated that Tehran will address all reservations and concerns expressed by Pakistan.
He further stated that the Iranian government will not let anyone jeopardize the brotherly relations between the two countries.
In a joint press conference along with Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Tuesday, Director General Inter Services of Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav is a huge success for Pakistan.
Jadhav was detained by the Pakistani authorities on March 3 as he entered Balochistan via Iranian border.
In a video, Jadhav was shown admitting that he is an active Indian Naval officer and was working in Pakistan at the behest of RAW.
India has denied that the confessions made by Jadhav.
