KARACHI (Dunya News) – Crackdown against criminal elements continued in Karachi as Rangers and Police detained 12 accused, including three terrorists, during operations in different parts of Karachi on Thursday.

According to details, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) police conducted an operation near Machar Colony Railway Crossing and detained three accused. One repeater and two pistols were recovered from the arrested persons. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) SIU, Farooq Awan, informed media that the arrested persons were involved in several cases of robberies and other street crimes.

Police also conducted an operation in Shah Faisal Colony and arrested an accused who was robbing the residents.

On the other hand, Rangers conducted operations in Manghu Pir and Landhi areas and arrested three terrorists. Rangers also conducted operations in other localities and arrested five accused. A Rangers spokesman said that target killers and extortionists were among the arrested persons.
