Summary Pakistan Navy took responsibility as guard of national poet's mausoleum in Lahore
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Change of guards ceremony was held at Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum in regard to Pakistan Day while Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Ishratul Ibad among others laid floral wreath, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sharmila Farooqui, Governor Ishratul Ibad and others paid visits at Jinnah’s tomb.

On the other hand, Pakistan Navy took responsibility as guard of national poet and historical figure, Allama Iqbal’s mausoleum in Lahore.
Commodore Salman Mehboob was the chief guest at the special ceremony.

At the stroke of Tuesday midnight, fireworks display was observed in several areas of Lahore. A spectacular fireworks display was held at Minar-e-Pakistan, Gulshan Park and Jillani Park.
The sky lit with a kaleidoscope of colours while huge gathering flocked Minar-e-Pakistan to view the spectacle and were greatly entertained.
Citizens were seen raising different slogans including ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ (Long Live Pakistan) and waved the national flag. 31-gun-salute was offered at dawn today in the federal capital while 21-gun-salute in the provincial capitals.
