The SAARC Inter-Summit Ministerial Meeting is being held in Pokhara, Nepal from 14-17 March 2016. Sartaj Aziz is leading the Pakistan delegation to attend the Council of Ministers Meeting.
On the sidelines, the Adviser will hold bilateral meetings with all his counterparts from the SAARC Member States (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka) to present formal invitation letters from the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the Heads of State/Government of the SAARC Member States for the 19th SAARC Summit to be held in Islamabad this year, the Foreign Office reported.
Aziz had told the media earlier that he is ready to discuss anything his Indian counterpart wanted to.
"The meeting is of course to hand over the invitation for the SAARC Summit, but anything that she ( Sushma Swaraj) wants to discuss, we will discuss," said Aziz.
Aziz said that special investigation team from Pakistan will soon be visiting India to probe the Pathankot airbase attack.
The raid on the air base stalled efforts to revive bilateral talks between the neighbours after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an unscheduled visit to his Pakistani counterpart, Nawaz Sharif, in December.
Indian government officials say Jaish-e-Mohammad was also behind the Pathankot attack and say they provided evidence to the Pakistani government to prove it.
