Summary Documents reveal that MQM leaders Mohammad Anwar, Tariq Mir confessed to receiving funds from India.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Dunya News on Tuesday in its show “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath” revealed documentary evidence of Muttahdia Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) funding by Indian intelligence agency RAW. Documents of the London Metropolitan Police also reveal that MQM leaders Mohammad Anwar and Tariq Mir confessed receiving funds from India.
According to the details, the RAW funding evidence has been brought to light for the very first time. These documents were handed over to Sarfaraz Merchant, an accused in the money laundering case, by the London Metropolitan Police during an interview on 15th April 2015.
The program also displayed further evidence that was recovered during a raid at MQM Secretariat in London, including ammunition and the hand written receipt for the purchase of these weapons using Indian currency.
Speaking during the program, British legal expert Barrister Rashid Aslam stated that the matter of funding by RAW was a significant one regarding the security of Pakistan. He added that Pakistan’s government should contact Scotland Yard and share these documents.
