Summary Children being sold in various parts of the city at a cost of Rs 500 to Rs 1000
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Child-selling business soars in the provincial capital of Punjab as children are being sold in various areas of the city at the cost of a few thousand rupees, reported Dunya News.
Over thirty First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered in this regards in different police stations of the city, including Thaana Lari-Ada, Bhaati Gate and Nolakha.
Children are being sold at prices from Rs 500 to Rs 1000. Police have retrieved dozens of children till now.
Child Protection Bureau has initiated an operation against the petty business of child-sale. The government, in this regards, have hastened up the task of forming a law catering to child safety.
