Summary COAS said that intelligence based operations should speedup in order to destroy militant's network

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Corps Commanders  Conference headed by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif was held on Monday where security issues and progress of operations against terrorists were discussed, reported Dunya News.

The Corps Commanders  conference was held under the supervision of COAS where security situation and ongoing successful operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists were discussed. Emerging geo-strategic environment with context of its impact on security in Pakistan was also discussed in the conference.

On this occasion, COAS said that in order to destroy militant’s network in the country, intelligence based operations should speedup. He also said that operation in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) is advancing towards its logical end and this operation will play a vital role for long-term stability.

General Raheel also said that commanders should pay attention to the issues that may emerge after the operation and also expressed satisfaction with the ongoing operations in Shawal and related areas.
