Summary Two gang war accused were killed while one Rangers official was injured in an encounter in Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Two gang war accused were killed in exchange of fire with Rangers in Tharo Lane area of Lyari Town in the jurisdiction of Garden Police station on Tuesday night, Dunya News reported.
One Rangers official also sustained injuries during in the encounter with terrorists.
According to a Rangers spokesman, the dead gang war accused were identified as Younus Zohaib alias Obama and Farooq alias Farooqa and belonged to Jamil Changa group. He further informed that Jamil Changa group in the past used to operate with Uzair Baloch group.
The Rangers spokesman further said that the killed gangsters were involved in several cases of target killings, attacks on police officials, hand grenade attacks and extortion.
On the other hand, police arrested two activists of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi after an encounter in Defence Phase-II area.
According to SSP South, Dr Farooq, the arrested accused were facilitators of terrorists. Arms and jihadi literature was also recovered from their possession.
Police also arrested an extortionist named Ikram-ud-Din fron Baba Ground area in Ittehad Town after an encounter and recovered a rifle, hand grenade and a pistol from him. Police sources said that Ikram-ud-Din was also involved a street crime cases.
Police also arrested an accused from Pirabad area after encounter and recovered arms and a motorcycle from his possession.
