Summary John Kerry says Pakistan is going through positive change under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif
WASHINGTON: (Dunya News) – United States (US) Secretary of State John Kerry has on Monday said that Pakistan’s cooperation in reducing nuclear weapons. He added that Pakistan was going through positive change under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, reported Dunya News.
In a press briefing regarding Pakistan-US strategic dialogue, John Kerry said that terrorists were enemies of education and wanted to keep Pakistan’s youth away from it. He added that US and Russia possessed around 1500 nuclear weapons each but both the countries wanted to reduce the number and thus needed Pakistan’s cooperation.
Talking to the joint press briefing, Pakistan’s Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan was the country worst hit due to Afghan war. He said that the region could not afford ending the Afghan peace process. He added that Pakistan’s economy was improving with every passing day.
Aziz said that a politically and economically stable Pakistan was in US favour. He also stressed upon improved trade relations between both the countries.
