Summary Minister suggests Maulana to keenly observe developed Islamic countries
LAHORE (Dunya News) – While addressing to media after participating in a ceremony held at Lahore Garrison University on Monday, Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood stated that the Women’s Protection Bill must not be ridiculed, reported Dunya News.
He criticized Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman’s opposition to the bill stating that the Maulana has a good sense of humour. He further added that the JUI-F leader’s take on members of Punjab Assembly and Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif upon the bill is unreasonable. He suggested that the JUI-F chief needs to adopt a more concerned attitude otherwise his adversaries in this regards have a lot to state.
While addressing to the ceremony being held at the institution, Mashhood announced development funds worth Rs 20 crore for the university along with allotment of 100 acres of land for infrastructure, 100 scholarships for the students, construction of a sports complex and other facilities for the university.
