Summary Newborn baby was kidnapped due to the carelessness of the family, says SP Model Town.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An unidentified woman abducted a 2-day old newborn girl from the labour ward of Jinnah hospital and fled. Police has obtained the CCTV footage of the incident and started an investigation into the matter.
According to the details, Shazia, a resident of Raiwind, had given birth to the girl 2 days ago. The baby’s grandmother stated that she had to go for something important so she handed over the baby to a woman sitting on a bed near her., but upon her return neither the woman nor the baby could be found.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town stated that the newborn baby was kidnapped due to the carelessness of the family.
He stated that a hunt for the kidnapper of the newborn was underway with help of the CCTV footage.
