Threats will be given befitting reply, National Command Authority resolves
Determination observed regarding maintaining nuclear capability, not taking part in arms race
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The civil and military leaderships of the country expressed their concerns over the growing number of nuclear weapons in the region and its impact on regional stability in the meeting of the National Command Authority (NCA) which was held on Wednesday under the leadership of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, reported Dunya News.
NCA, while strengthening its determination of maintaining credible nuclear capability, has vowed to give a befitting response to all threats to national security, while avoiding participation in an arms race. NCA has expressed complete trust over the Nuclear Command and Control System. Furthermore, it has stated that Pakistan meets the standards required to become a member of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) and that the discriminatory attitude regarding granting membership of the group must be abolished.
NCA congratulated the scientists and engineers related with the recent successful missile launch tests.
