Islamabad: Indian national having illegal Pakistani ID card arrested
Rustam Sidhwa arrived Pakistan in 1982 and got hands on a Pakistani ID card through illegal channels
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An Indian citizen by the name of Rustam Sidhwa who obtained a Pakistani National Identification Card illegally has been arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Islamabad, reported Dunya News.
The FIA arrested him outside the court of Special Judge Malik Nazeer in Islamabad after his pre-arrest bail plea was rejected. Sidhwa is the brother-in-law of Member of National Assembly (MNA) Asfandyar Bhandara and is the son-in-law of former MNA, M.P. Bhandra.
According to the FIA, the area of investigation regarding this case shall be expanded to include officials from the Passport and Immigrations sector. Sidhwa will be presented in the court for a physical remand.
