Summary One policeman embraced martyrdom while four dacoits were killed in encounter in Shikarpur.
SHIKARPUR (Dunya News) – According to details, police conducted a search operation in Tehsil Khanpur of Shikarpur on a tip-off about presence of dacoits in the area on Monday.
On seeing police the dacoits present in the area opened fire. Police also opened fire in reply. As a result of exchange of fire, four dacoits were killed while a policeman, Ali Gul Mehar, also embraced martyrdom.
According to SSP Shikarpur, Nasir Aftab, the killed dacoits were wanted by police in several cases of murder, robberies, abduction for ransom and other heinous crimes.
