Imran Khan announces nationwide protests against govt policies
Khan announced to hold protest against PIA privatization and anti-masses tax policies.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Tuesday announced nationwide protests against the government policies to be held from 6th of February. Khan strongly condemned the use of force against the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) protesting employees which keft 2 dead. Khan announced to hold protest against PIA privatization and anti-masses tax policies.
Lashing out at the Federal government for Tuesday’ s police torture on PIA employees, Khan said that rulers have an old habit of opening fire on public especially when people are protesting against their brutal rule. He asked the government that why the employees of PIA were not taken in confidence before deciding about the privatization
Khan stated that increasing tax on petroleum products without parliament’s approval is against the law.
Khan also criticised government on Orange Train project.
Joint Opposition in Punjab Assembly has also announced a similar protest against PIA’s privatization. Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed said that the united Opposition will show complete solidarity with the PIA employees on Wednesday.
