OGRA given right by PM to fine oil refineries
PM approved OGRA petroleum rules, allowing OGRA the right to regulate and fine the oil refineries
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has on Thursday allowed Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) the right to regulate and fine the oil refineries, reported Dunya News.
According to OGRA officials, the rules have been approved after 14 years and OGRA has for the first time been given the right to regulate and fine the oil refineries. Under the new rules, OGRA has been given the right to regulate oil storage, pipeline and lubricant plants.
The officials told that OGRA now has the right to fine the oil marketing companies.
