F-8 court attack: Three suspects handed over to police on physical remand till Feb 8

Summary At least 12 people including an additional Session Judge were killed in the attack.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Wednesday handed over as many as three terrorists involved in an attack on F-8 court.

According to details, all the three suspects were presented before the court for hearing during which, the judge sent them to police station on a physical remand till February 8.

The criminals identified as Jan Muhammad aka Zain, Abdul Qafoor aka Ahmed and Qamar-uz-Zaman aka Malang were apprehended by counter-terrorism department (CTD) after which they were taken into police custody for further investigation.

It is pertinent to mention here that the district court in F-8 was attacked in March, 2014. At least 12 people including an additional Session Judge, five lawyers and other people were died in the incident.

Police officers stated that the attack was carried out by terrorists to sabotage the peace of the region.
