Shah demands judicial commission over APS, Bacha Khan University attacks

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Opposition leader Khursheed Shah on Tuesday stated that federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar has already told the parliament that implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) is not his responsibility.

While talking to newsmen outside his chamber, Khursheed Shah alleged Ch Nisar of not carrying out NAP properly. He said that everyone including Indian PM Modi has condemned Bacha Khan University attack but the interior minister has not even bothered to visit the institution.

He said he has got afraid after seeing hatred in the eyes of bereaved families. Shah urged the authorities to form judicial commission over the massacres of Army Public School (APS) and Bacha Khan University.

Opposition leader lashed out at the government for mismanagement in military courts as only 60 cases have been sent to them so far while the affectees are still depending on higher officials for the justice.

Talking about anti-terrorism operations against outlawed organizations, he said that NAP is only implemented in Sindh but no action is being taken in other provinces.

Shah further lauded the decision of Army Chief Raheel Sharif of not extending the services and said that the chief’s statement has made the whole nation proud.

Responding to a question related to tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran, he said that no headway has been made by Pakistani government in this regard.
