Summary Pakistan army is prepared to secure Pak-Afghan border after evacuation of US army: Khawaja Asif
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for defence Khawaja Asif said on Thursday that Pakistan army is prepared to protect Pak-Afghan border, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Khawaja Asif submitted the written letter in senate saying that Pakistan army is fully prepared to secure Pak-Afghan border after the evacuation of American army from Afghanistan. The letter stated that as many as 83 thousand soldiers have been appointed on the Afghan border and the patrolling on the border has also been increased along with the air surveillance. The command and control system has been improved and the local tribes and fighters have also been included in the matters of border defence. FC Levis and local tribal leaders have been included in the collaboration on check posts. It was also commented in the letter that law enforcement institutions improve intelligence while military institutes ensure security and to deal with the internal issues, interior ministry has made framework.
