LAHORE (Dunya News) –Thick fog has engulfed parts of Punjab, reducing the visibility to zero on Thursday morning.
The dense fog continued to blanket various areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot and Narowal however, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Pakpattan have also witnessed the same situation.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the fog would persist in plain areas of Punjab for few more days that will further intensify the cold weather whereas some parts of Sindh would also receive fog in the chilled mornings.
Flight and train operations were suspended due to extreme weather condition.
A national highway has been closed for traffic from Rasulabad to Buburlu in Khairpur, directing the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during this time.
