Summary Pervaiz Elahi is happy that Shehbaz Sharif admitted Ring Road was his era's project
LAHORE: (Dunya News) - The central leader of Pakistan Muslim League Qaid-e-Azam group (PML-Q) Pervaiz Elahi on Thursday said he is happy that Shehbaz Sharif has finally admitted that Lahore s Ring Road was his era’s project, Dunya News reported.
Speaking to the media at his residence, former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that in his tenure his government constructed fifty five thousand kilometres long roads. He said it took CM Punjab 8 years to admit the Ring Road project was started in his era.
He said that all the contracts were given in a transparent way in his tenure and even the Chief Minister would not know who has got the contract. This is why, he said, he did not know that the contract was given to Kamran Kiani during his tenure. He inquired if Shehbaz Sharif had cancelled the contract then why did not he tell this then?
Pervaiz Elahi said that the Orange Line project is going to destroy Lahore. He further said that the leadership of PML-Q thinks that concerns on China Pakistan Economic Corridor by Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be addressed and that what was agreed upon should be followed.
