Opposition Leader in Senate demanded requisition of joint parliamentary session on Iran-Saudi issue

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in Senate Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has on Monday demanded the requisition of joint session of the parliament to discuss the Saudi-Iran conflict, reported Dunya News.

Talking to media after high level consultations at Bilawal House Lahore under the leadership of Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Aitzaz Ahsan said that some decisions have been made during the meeting and implementation of those decisions will begin in the next few weeks. It was agreed upon during the meeting that the government must act with great caution in the Saudi-Iran conflict.

Demanding the requisition of a joint session of the parliament on this issue, Aitzaz said that the implementation of the constitution and law is possible only if there are no holy cows and the law is implemented indiscriminately.

The party meeting expressed concern over Rangers taking the matters regarding corruption in Sindh government into their hands. Aitzaz said that Rangers should act against terrorism only. The party leadership was of the opinion that only Sindh government is being targeted in the name of accountability.
