Salman Taseer remembered on 5th death anniversary
The participants lit candles at Liberty Chowk and offered prayers
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A candlelight vigil to remember slain governor Punjab Salman Taseer on 5th death anniversary took place in Lahore on Monday, Dunya News reported.
The participants lit candles at Liberty Chowk area of Lahore where a large number of people including late governor’s son Sheheryar Taseer and other family members turned up.
The vigil was organized by the civil society and was attended by a large number of people including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Shazia Marri and family members of the slain governor.
Addressing the participants, the speakers paid tribute to Salman Taseer’s efforts and prayed for his eternal peace.
