LAHORE (Dunya News) – All the eight suspects involved in gang rape of a girl in Lahore were presented before a Cantt court today (Sunday).
While hearing the case, the judged extended the physical remand of the victim for three more days.
Earlier, Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has formed a medical board to examine gang rape victim’s condition after she was admitted in a hospital.
The 14-year-old student’s condition allegedly worsened and she was admitted in a hospital. The Chief Minister has formed a four-member medical team to examine the victim. On the other hand, court has granted time till January 6 for the victim to record her statement.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has summoned another report in the class-8 student’s rape issue.
In the last hearing, plaintiff’s counsel stated that his client is in state of shock and is not able to record her statement. He had requested the court to grant time in the matter. Meanwhile, law enforcers had requested the court to extend remand of the accused arrested in the case.
In late December, resident of Lahore s Rana Town was abducted and raped in a guest house on Mall Road. Key accused in the case had offered his arrest after a case was registered at the Race Course Police Station.
A photograph of the prime suspect with government officials had also surfaced.
