Police have arrested 57 employees who staged protest and blocked the road in front of PTCL Headquarters in sector G-8. PTCL employees staged protest outside National Press Club on Saturday and police have registered a case under anti-terrorism act against 150 unidentified persons. The police claimed that the protesting employees opened fire on the police party injuring one policeman. When police arrested PTCL workers, Farzana Bari stood in front of their vehicle and tried to stop the police to take the employees to the police station. At that time, lady police tortured Farzana. Talking to Dunya News, Farzana Bari said that it was PTCL workers right to protest for their demands. She said that no worker fired at police, police should arrest those who attacked them. She said that they were poor employees and after their arrest, it would be difficult to get them released from jails.
