Polling continue for by-polls at NA-184

Polling is underway for Bahawalpur's NA-184, Dunya News reported Saturday. The seat NA-184 fell vacant after the resignation of Pakistan People's Party's Amir Yar Waran for possessing a fake degree. Waran was declared ineligible to have contested elections by the Lahore High Court for holding a fake degree. Khadija Waran, wife of Amir Yar Waran, is contesting for todays by-polls on the PPP ticket. Meanwhile, Mian Najeebuddin is fielded by Pakistan Muslim LeagueNawaz. The constituency comprised around 0.3 million voters while of 229 polling stations, 94 have been declared sensitive. Heavy contingents of police have been deployed at all the polling booths to maintain peace.
