Summary 21 thousand and 493 ballot papers were missing from the record: NADRA
LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) sent the pre-scanned report of irregularities in NA-128 to the election tribunal on Wednesday, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Pakistan Muslim League-N s (PML-N) candidate Muhammad Afzal Khokhar won the election from NA-128 with 1 lac, 24 thousand and 107 votes while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Malik Karamat Khokhar was on second number with 78 thousand and 369 votes. Malik Karamat Khokhar accused PML-N for rigging and challenged the results in election tribunal. Election tribunal sent the votes to NADRA for verification.
After verifications, NADRA sent a pre-scanned report to the tribunal in which it is stated that 21 thousand and 493 ballot papers were missing from the record. It also says that the form-15 of 159 polling stations are missing while the form-14 of 151 polling stations could not be found as well. The total number of rejected votes from NA-128 is 4630. Tribunal judge had ordered NADRA to send the report before 5th of January, 2016 after verification of the votes.
