KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Army won 1st position in the All Pakistan Amir Khan Boxing Tournament held in Karachi on Monday. Corps Commander Karachi, DG Rangers and Amir Khan distributed prizes to winners, reports Dunya News.

The All Pakistan Boxing Tournament Amir Khan s closing ceremony was held at the People s Stadium Lyari. Pakistan Army won three gold and two silver medals while Pakistan Navy came second with 3 gold and 1 medal.

Corps Commander Karachi, DG Rangers and renowned boxer Amir distributed prizes to winners. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Karachi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar said that there is no dearth of talent in Lyari.

Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar said that Lyari has made its mark in football and boxing adding that a football tournament is going to be held in future. Speaking at the occasion, boxer Amir Khan said that he intends to open a boxing academy in Lyari soon.
