Summary Police arrested two criminals involved in construction material theft in Bhains Colony
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Political party’s worker on Monday has lost life in a clash between two groups in Shah Faisal Colony while law enforcers have detained more than thirty suspects in joint operation.
A clash between two rival groups left one killed while two injured. Police said that the killed person was a political party’s worker. Following the violent clash, police and Rangers conducted a joint search operation.
Entry and exit points of the area were sealed while a door-to-door check was done. The operation resulted in more than thirty detainees.
Earlier, Rangers had apprehended twenty criminals including banned outfit’s operatives and those belonging to armed wing of a political party. The law enforcers seized advanced weapons and explosives from their possession.
The culprits were apprehended in operations in Lyari, Surjani Town, Gulistan Johar, Orangi Town, Federal B Area, Sher Shah and Quaidabad.
Separately, in Bhains Colony police arrested two criminals involved in construction material theft. As many as 16 dumpers were also recovered.
On December 20, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) had arrested at least four terror suspects of banned outfits after raiding various areas near Korangi Chamra Chowrangi.
According to details, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) told in a press conference that the arrested terrorist suspects belong to the banned terrorist outfits Tehreek-e-Taliban and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
A hand grenade, Kalashnikov and other weaponry has been recovered from them. The arrested suspects have confessed to carrying out terrorist activities including explosions and target killings in various areas of the city.
The SSP old that the suspects were also behind the Rami Club in Ghas Mandi explosion in which 16 people had died.
