LAHORE (Dunya News) - A passenger died after suffering a heart attack on Sunday when the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from New York to Lahore was about to take off.

According to a PIA spokesman, a passenger identified as Muhammad Rafique suddenly turned sick and started to vomit in PIA flight PK-712.

A doctor present in the plane confirmed his death after which the flight was delayed.

The body of the deceased passenger was shifted to a local hospital. The flight took off later after a delay of three and half hours.

Sources report that Muhammad Rafique belonged to Lahore and was suffering from cancer.
