Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has maintained that Lahore triple bombings were meant to trigger Shia, Sunni strife in the country. Briefing the media on Thursday, Rehman said that some hidden elements were working against countrys sovereignty. He reiterated the resolve to root out militants and terrorists from the country and added that action would be taken wherever writ of state is challenged. He called upon Shia community to limit their procession routes to avert any untoward incident in future. He warned of more such attacks, saying that terrorists target the processions every year and thus the provincial governments should stay alert. Replying to a question, the minister said that Pakistan could not conduct probe into cricket teams spot-fixing allegations in England. We asked Scotland Yard to provide us information, Rehman told media. He said that no team has been sent to England in this regard.
