The two brothers, who were brutally killed by a mob in Sialkot last month, are found to be innocent, said a report filed by Justice (r) Kazim Malik who headed the inquiry commission set up in this respect, Dunya News reported on Wednesday. Justice Kazim requested to the apex court to get the bodies of both the brothers exhumed for autopsy. Earlier, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that the footage shown on Dunya News is in itself an evidence. The CJ ordered the police to arrest the cops who escaped and produce them before the court tomorrow (Thursday).The CJ also ordered further investigation into the incident. The report also confirmed polices involvement in the gruesome lynching. It is mention worthy that Dunya News aired the footage of two brothers namely Mughees and Muneeb who were callously beaten to death by an angry mob on charges of robbery in full view of cops including Silakot's ex-DPO Waqar Chahuhan on August 15, 2010.Personnel of Rescue 1122 were also accused of conniving in the duo murder.The footage triggered a nationwide uproar against the cruelty of police.
