ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Altaf Hussain confessed in a video statement that Dr Asim was cleared because of ‘life threat’, Dunya News reported.

According to details, when asked why did he cleared Asim when the JIT had termed the allegations as correct, the investigation officer Altaf Hussain confessed of being coerced into clearing him and that he faced life threats.
He said he had alerted the intelligence institutions about the life threats, adding that those institutions even have a video statement of him alerting them of the life threats he faced.
It merits mentioning here that the JIT had on Friday termed the accusations against the accused as factual. As per the report, former finance adviser Dr Asim not only provided medical facility to wounded terrorists, but also supported them financially.
The investigation report also states that Dr Asim kept abusing official positions by issuing licenses to medical college after accepting bribes and land grabbing.
