ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) on Friday has frozen Lahore Electric Supply Company’s (Lesco) accounts for tax recovery of Rs 4 crore.
Sources privy to the board said that the company owes Rs 1.10 billion under sales tax for 2013-14 fiscal year (FY). The board froze Lesco’s accounts in National Bank of Pakistan to recover the pending dues.
The board is making efforts to recover the rest of the amount.
The FBR had served Lesco notices numerous times but the development has come in after no legal or any contact was made.
