Arrested terrorists belonged to banned TTP
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested seven terrorists on Wednesday from Ibrahim Haidri Ali Akbar Shah Goth area of Karachi. The terrorists belonged to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reported Dunya News.
According to details, CTD carried out an operation against TTP terrorists in which seven got arrested while police recovered a repeater and six pistols from the terrorists. Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) of CTD Usman Bajwa said that the arrested terrorists named Iranuddin, Zainuddin, Muhammad Usman, Manawar Gul, Abdullah, Shahid Hussain and Muhammad Aslam got training in Afghanistan. The arrested terrorists used to train young boys for terrorist activities and they were also involved in extortion. Police have filed the case against the terrorists.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Rangers on Saturday conducted a joint raided on a private hospital in Clifton area and arrested 4 suspected individuals including 2 foreigner, while a suspect said to be member of a banned organization and 2 suspects involved in target killings were exterminated during clash with the police in Baldia Town and Lyari.
According to the details, the arrested suspects have been shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. Sources say that 2 of the individuals arrested are from Afghanistan who had arrived in Karachi from Afghanistan for treatment purposes. Search was also conducted of the private hospital during the joint raid.
On the other hand, the target killer was said to be involved in killing of more than 24 people. The suspect killed in Lyari was said to be a worker of Aziz Baloch group.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Car Lifting Seal arrested 2 suspects in the Buffer Zone. 2 motorcycles were found from the suspects.
2 people were also injured during a cracker bomb attack in Chakiwara area of Lyari.
